1. How many years of experience do you have teaching or in the school system? I have nine years of experience teaching in school systems. For three years I taught in Warner Robins, Georgia. For the past six years, I have been teaching kindergarten for Bedford County Schools.
2. What made you want to become a teacher or work in a school? I wanted to become a teacher because I loved learning new things and being at school with my friends. I wish to give the same excitement and love of learning to all my students.
3. About what are you most excited for working at Cartwright? What drew me to Cartwright was the idea of being a part of the team that started a new school from the ground up. Knowing that everything we do this first year, as a team, will set the expectation for the future. This new challenge is very exciting to me, and I am ready to accept it head-on. I am also excited about the opportunity to work with a wonderful group of new teachers in the building.
4. Is there anything extra you would like to share? While attending Tennessee Tech University, I thought my dream job would have been teaching 4th grade ELA. After getting hired as a kindergarten teacher, I fell in love with their sweet souls and eagerness to learn new things. I have not looked back since!
