Our 5th grade scientists became matter detectives in Mrs. Hasty’s RTI class today! 🔬✨ Students observed and modeled a phase change as they watched ice melt from a solid into a liquid.
We made observations, discussed what was happening to the matter, and saw science in action! 🧪❄️
Who knew a little ice could teach us so much? 💙

🎈⚡ Science was positively electrifying in Mrs. Delatte’s 3rd-grade class!
Students used balloons, wool cloth, tissue paper, and packing peanuts to explore energy transfer and static electricity. They discovered how objects can move without even being touched—now that’s some shocking science! 🧪✨

Students investigated which materials allow heat to flow through them most easily. They placed cups of hot water into buckets of cold water, then measured and recorded the temperatures before and after the experiment. By comparing their results, these young scientists discovered which materials held in the most heat and which allowed heat to transfer more quickly.

Just a reminder! On Thursday, September 10 we will be having our Fall Picture Day!
Ms. Sydney Collier's 2nd grade class has been working hard on learning about place value! To make learning fun and hands-on, students used Cheez-Its as hundreds, pretzels as tens, and mini chocolate chips as ones. They used these tasty manipulatives to build and represent different numbers, helping them better understand how each digit has a value based on its place. They had so much fun learning while using food to bring math to life!
